Educational Trip – Textile Technology Program

As part of a technical field trip, students from the Textile Technology Program visited Doca Tekstil, a company located in the Nilüfer Organized Industrial Zone that specializes in seamless knitting production in the field of technical textiles.

The second stop of the trip was Ottoman Dyeing, Finishing, and Printing Factory, where students had the opportunity to observe on-site production processes related to dyeing, finishing, and printing.

Additionally, during the field trip, students were shown various laboratory tests, including:

• Tensile (strength) test

• Abrasion resistance test

• Fabric weight and GSM (grams per square meter) measurement tests

Through this experience, students were able to combine their theoretical knowledge with practical applications and gain insights into real-world industry practices.
