STUDENTS FROM THE TEXTILE, CLOTHING, FOOTWEAR AND LEATHER DEPARTMENT VISITED THE OBİDEV VOCATIONAL TRAINING AND PRODUCTION CENTER.

 The academic staff of the Department of Textile, Clothing, Footwear and Leather, together with first- and second-year students of the Textile Technology Program, visited the OBİDEV Vocational Education and Production Center, where individuals with autism receive education, on Thursday, December 17, 2025, at 1:30 PM, within the scope of social responsibility activities.

Following a presentation delivered by Fatma Tabanlı, President of the Foundation for Supporting Individuals with Autism, a folk dance performance prepared by the students receiving training at the center was watched. During the event, participants had the opportunity to observe the work of students receiving practical training in five different workshops. Through this experience, the importance of hands-on education in the social inclusion of disadvantaged individuals was clearly observed.

Within the framework of the workshop activities planned together with our students at the OBİDEV Vocational Education and Production Center, various practical training activities were carried out. In this context, mug printing and woodblock printing applications were conducted, aiming to support participants’ manual skills, creativity, and collaboration competencies by ensuring their active involvement in the production processes.
